Air Supply Rock Concert To Be Held At The Orleans Showroom 9/2-9/4

Australian soft rock legends Air Supply bring their timeless hits to The Orleans Showroom for Labor Day weekend, with three performances on Sept. 2-4.

Englishman Graham Russell and Australian Russell Hitchcock met in 1975 while performing in the Australian production of the celebrated musical “Jesus Christ Superstar.” Later that year, the duo formed Air Supply and released their first hit and self-titled debut album, which went gold in Australia. After opening for Rod Stewart’s U.S. tour in the late ‘70s, Air Supply had an international breakthrough and signed with Arista Records in 1980.

Their 1980 release “Lost in Love” featured three U.S. top-five singles, including the title track, which was the fastest-selling single in the world. It also featured “Every Woman in the World” and “All Out of Love.” Over the next three years, the duo produced numerous hits, including “Just Another Woman,” “The One That You Love,” “Here I Am,” “Sweet Dreams,” “Even The Nights Are Better” and “Making Love Out of Nothing At All,” which reached #2 on the Billboard charts in 1983. As the years went on, Air Supply kept the hits coming. They released “Mumbo Jumbo” in May 2010 and the single “Sanctuary” the following year.

With 30 albums and more than 15 hit singles to their name, Air Supply is one of the most celebrated soft rock groups in the world. In 2008, the duo was named #83 on Billboard’s Top 100 musical acts of all time. Air Supply celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2015.
