Mrs. Nevada-America Gets A Stylish Send Off Saturday Night

Mrs. Nevada-America 2016, Lauren Cahlan, was “sent off in style” on Saturday night at her official Mrs. America Send-off Celebration at Ben Gioielli & Co. jewelry store at The Grand Canal Shoppes.

Amid a backdrop of breathtaking jewels from around the world, including the $1 million dollar Couture Pop previously modeled by Kim Kardashian, Cahlan donned a sparkly white Sherri Hill cocktail dress paired with silver Michael Kors pumps.

Cocktails and delicious food were provided by the newly-opened Mercato della Pescheria, at the Grand Canal Shoppes, formerly the space that housed Postrio. Guests sipped champagne while noshing on signature menu items from the restaurant’s antipasti menu. Attendees of the party included Ben Cohen, owner of Ben Gioielli & Co.; Elad Assayag of Mercato della Pescheria; Michael Boychuck, owner of COLOR Salon at Caesars Palace; Jill and Bob Barnhart, owners of Luxurious Real Estate; and former Mrs. Nevada-America queens, Amanda Kouretas and Lavetta Schneider.

The Mrs. America pageant, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, will take place locally at the Westgate Hotel & Casino on Saturday, Aug. 27. The winner of the Mrs. America pageant will go on to compete at Mrs. World in Incheon, South Korea this fall.
