Comedian/Actor Chris Tucker Brings His Show To The Pearl On 5/28

Fresh from his NETFLIX special Chris Tucker: Live, the comedian sets a return date to The Pearl inside Palms Casino Resort  on May 28, 2016 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $50, plus any additional service fees and go on sale Friday, March 4 at noon.

Chris Tucker is best known for his role of Detective James Carter in the “Rush Hour” film series. Starting his career as a stand-up comedian, Tucker’s bold sense of humor landed him a spot on “Def Comedy Jam” where he frequently performed in the 1990s.

The buzz that Tucker garnered from his many appearances as a stand-up helped open doors in the film industry. Following his film debut in 1994’s “House Party 3,” Tucker achieved ‘cult classic’ status as Smokey in the stoner comedy “Friday.” Tucker’s next big movie role was in the avant-garde film “The Fifth Element.”

Tucker’s film career reached soaring heights as the star of the “Rush Hour” blockbuster film series. The original, along with two sequels, grossed more than $500 million in the U.S. The success of the films enabled Tucker to negotiate a salary of $25 million, making him one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood for “Rush Hour 3.”

In 2013, Tucker enjoyed the buzz from a well-received performance opposite Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro in the David O. Russell directed film “Silver Linings Playbook.”

Getting back to his comedic roots, Tucker used his hometown of Atlanta to film “Chris Tucker: Live,” a NETFLIX Original production which is now playing on the entertainment streaming service.

Doors at The Pearl will open at 7 p.m. and show time is 8 p.m. The Pearl Box Office is open daily from noon until 7 p.m. with extended hours on select event days.
