Wanna Go Old School? Try Throwback Thursdays At LAX Nightclub

LAX Nightclub at Luxor Hotel and Casino will be serving up that '"funky cold medina" all night long on Thursday, April 7, when legendary rapper Tone-Loc will take the stage for Throwback Thursday. Tone-Loc's hit singles, "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina" became the biggest crossover rap singles to date when they were released in 1989.

Born Anthony Smith, Tone-Loc took the hip-hop and pop music world by storm when he released his debut album "Lōc-ed After Dark," which went on to reach the number one position on the Billboard 200. Known for his distinctive voice and effortlessly cool delivery, Tone-Loc went on to perform as a voice actor, racking up numerous credits and accolades during his multi-decade career.

Every Thursday at LAX Nightclub, DJs spin favorite hits from the '80s and '90s, with several memorable Throwback performers hosting select nights throughout the year.

On Thursday, March 24, LAX Nightclub will host a very special Throwback Thursday Pajama Jam with Kid 'n Play. The hip-hop duo, best known for the iconic "House Party" film series, popularized hi-top fades, eight ball jackets, and signature dance moves, such as the Funky Charleston. In true Pajama Jam form, guests are encouraged to don their favorite sleepy time wear, from flannel to nightgowns and everything in between, and party until it's time for bed.

LAX Nightclub is open Thursday - Saturday from 10:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. For more information, visit or follow LAX Nightclub on Facebook -, Twitter -, and Instagram
