Enjoy National Honey Month At The Juice Standard

Expressing love for the honeybee goes much deeper than branding and honeycomb- shaped logos for The Juice Standard this September. The juicery, now selling its cold-pressed juice in two locations, will serve up delicious selections of anti-microbial, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial honey-filled juices this National Honey Month.

Juice blends complemented with healthful raw honey include:

• Bee Happy, made with filtered water, coconut water, raw cashew, raw brazil nut, raw walnut, raw local honey, raw cacao, vanilla bean and pink Himalayan salt, priced at $13.

• Bee Legendary, made with filtered water, raw cashew, raw brazil nut, raw walnut, turmeric, ginger, vanilla bean, cardamom, nutmeg, clove, raw local honey, pink Himalayan salt and cracked black pepper, priced at $13.

•Bee I’m Possible, made with raw cashew, vanilla bean, lemon, lavender, raw local honey and alkaline water, priced at $13.

• Bee True to You, made with cucumber, lemon, ginger, turmeric, raw local honey and cayenne, priced at $10.

Raw honey offers various benefits to the body including allergy relief, an energy boost and soothing effects. Because the bees producing the honey are consuming the same pollen flying through the air during allergy season, it is said that consumers become exposed and build a tolerance to the irritants. Juicers consuming honey can look forward to a boost in energy as the glucose in the substance quickly absorbs into the body and is ready to be used.

Using only raw local honey is just one of the many ways The Juice Standard supports the lives of honeybees, which are said to be near endangerment because of the use of pesticides on crops. Because nearly one-third of the world’s crops are naturally pollinated by honeybees, the use of pesticides causing a decline in the buzzing insect’s population will result in the disappearance of many fruits and vegetables.

Voted 2015’s “Best Juice Bar” in the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s “Best of Las Vegas” poll, the stylish juicery that uses only 100 percent organic produce opened its first shop, located at 4555 S. Fort Apache Rd., in March 2014, offering a variety of cold-pressed juices in 16-ounce, glass-bottle “Singletons” and as part of several juice cleanses, as well as super-food smoothies, specialty espresso drinks and a signature “Acai Crunch” bowl. This April,

The Juice Standard opened the doors to its Green Valley location at 2530 St. Rose Pkwy. Both locations are open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. More information is available by calling 702.476.9800; on The Juice Standard’s website at www.juicestandard.com; on Facebook at www.facebook.com/TheJuiceStandard; on Instagram at instagram.com/thejuicestandard; and on Twitter at twitter.com/JuiceStandard.
