New Nevada Beauty Queen Crowned! Gorgeous!

Miss Chateau USA Brittany McGowan and Miss Clark County Teen USA Geovanna Hilton have been crowned Miss Nevada USA 2015 and Miss Nevada Teen USA 2015, respectively. Miss USA 2014 Nia Sanchez, formerly Miss Nevada USA 2014, and Miss Nevada Teen USA 2014 Alexa Taylor crowned their successors during the pageant held at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall on Sunday, Nov. 23.

Hosted by Miss USA 2011 Alyssa Campanella, the pageant featured more than 40 contestants who competed in swimsuit, evening gown and interview. The two newly crowned beauty queens will represent Nevada at the Miss Nevada USA and Miss Nevada Teen USA pageants next year.

As Miss Nevada USA 2015, 25-year-old Brittany McGowan hopes have an impact on teens in Nevada with her program, “My World, My Way,” where she encourages them to connect with their truest self during their adolescence, making them feel comfortable and confident. McGowan is a model and actress and her hobbies include traveling, photography and spending time with family.

As Miss Nevada Teen USA 2015, 17-year-old Geovanna Hilton hopes to give back to the community and mentor her peers. Hilton has been volunteering since she was 12 years old and has accumulated more than 1,000 hours of community service. She currently donates her time to Three Square Food Bank, where she feels passionate about ending hunger in the Las Vegas community. In her spare time, she works at the KJUL and KOOL radio station as a spokesperson and writer, and enjoys playing tennis, reading books and creating origami.

Throughout their reigns, McGowan and Hilton will make their mark on the community with charitable endeavors, will become style icons on the red carpet and will bring pride and joy to their state while competing at Miss USA and Miss Teen USA next year.

The Miss Nevada USA and Miss Nevada Teen USA pageants serve as official preliminary competitions to the country’s renowned pageant system, the Miss Universe Organization, owned by Donald Trump. With an annual pageant held in January, two new titleholders are chosen to represent the great state of Nevada.
