“An Evening of Idiots: The American Idiot Band plays Green Day” will feature musicians from the national tour American Idiot who will take a break from the Tony Award®-winning musical to perform Green Day’s hits during a 90-minute, free rock show at Red Rock Resort on Thursday, June 13 at 10:30 p.m. A critical sensation on Broadway and in London, the smash-hit musical American Idiot will perform at The Smith Center in Downtown Las Vegas June 11-16.

Saturday, June 1, the nightclub at Hakkasan Las Vegas inside MGM Grand was pulsing with excitement as guest DJ Nick Cannon hit the decks at Las Vegas' hottest new nightlife destination. Cannon kept the party bouncing downstairs in the Ling Ling Club, entertaining guests starting at 12:30 a.m. and spinning his favorite hits into the night. 

Upstairs in the main room, DJ Zen Freeman kicked off the party as hehit the turntables around 10:30pm, followed by headliningelectronic dance music powerhouse,  Michael Woods.

It was a star-studded affair as “Dancing With The Stars” pro  Derek Hough took a break from his busy schedule to hang behind the DJ booth with his pal Freeman. Keeping close to the stage throughout the night, Hough was spotted drinking and celebrating into the early hours of the evening.

Also spotted in the main room was actor Jason Statham, in town filming his new movie "Heat." Statham was seated at the center of the action, in a VIP table behind the raised DJ booth. Noticeably in good spirits, the actor was seen drinking and dancing with friends to the heart pounding beats of Michael Woods.

Celeb Wrap Up From Vegas At TAO & TAO Beach! Who Was There?

Saturday at TAO Beach, E! News host Catt Sadler started her day off poolside with friends at a cabana. Donning a black swimsuit and gold chain, she enjoyed a chicken quesadilla and sipped on a frozen skinny margarita while taking in the pool’s party scene. Catt joked about fellow E! News correspondents poking fun that combination of her and Vegas are trouble. Continuing the rest of her day at TAO, Catt was spotted at the Simon G event before dining on TAO Asian Bistro’s signature selections such as the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, Spicy Tuna Tartare Over Crispy Rice, Grilled Salmon and the Phucket cocktail. She then headed up to a VIP table in the nightclub with her group of friends.

Gregg Sulkin, best known for his roles on the Disney Channel, was also spotted at TAO Beach earlier in the day with fellow actors David Henrie  and Daren Kagasoff. Celebrating his 21st birthday VIP style, Gregg was spotted soaking in the sun and snacking on selections from the grill and appetizer menu in a private cabana.

At TAO Asian Bistro, both Jenny McCarthy and La La Anthony dined with separate parties beside TAO’s famed 20-foot floating Buddha after the Simon G event. Jenny, joined by her sister, enjoyed signature menu items, stating that her meal was perfect while La La and her group enjoyed sushi and other selections before taking in the sounds of DJ Vice at a VIP table in the nightclub with friends.

At LAVO, Joan Rivers dined on the terrace of the Italian eatery after her show at The Venetian. Overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, the “Fashion Police” host was joined by friends and enjoyed Crispy Calamari, the Kobe Meatball, Spinach and Artichoke Pizza as well as dessert.

9th Annual Camp Mend-A-Heart For Kids Coming Up! Free & Medically Supervised!

Children's Heart Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the improvement and quality of life for Nevada children with heart problems, is hosting the 9th annual Camp Mend-a-Heart at Rapport Executive Ranch in Alamo. The camp will be held from Sunday, June 23 through Thursday, June 27, where children who are born with or develop heart problems are able to forge relationships, attain hope and build memories.

Camp Mend-a-Heart is a cost-free, medically supervised camp where children throughout Nevada are invited to participate in fun camp activities with other children who share similar conditions. Crafts, water fun, hiking, obstacle courses and some “hanging out” time are some of the activities that will be offered for the kids as well as a full medical staff to oversee the activities.

Camp Mend-a-Heart has two age divisions within the camp, Teen and Junior. The Teen group ages 13 through 18, will be able to stay throughout the entire camp from noon on Sunday, June 24 through 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 28.  In turn, the Junior group ages 7 through 12, will be held for two nights beginning at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26 through 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 28. The camp will be held at Rapport Executive Retreat in Alamo Nevada.

Hall Of Famer Football's Warren Moon To Award Scholarships To High School Students In Las Vegas

For 25 years, Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Moon has given back to high school students in need around the country by awarding scholarships to ensure their continued education. Moon will be joined by a host of other football legends on Thursday, June 6 from 4:30–6:30 p.m. at the Warren Moon Hall of Fame Scholarship Reception inside SCORE! at the Luxor Hotel Casino Las Vegas.

This year’s six recipients include two local high school seniors, Joshua Mayfield from Las Vegas High School (who will attend UNLV this fall), and Carlos Martin from Chaparral High School; as well as Jared Lebowitz from La Cañada Flintridge, Calif. (recruited to play quarterback for UNLV this fall); Max Fang from San Diego, Calif.; Meret Fakhory from Los Angeles, Calif.; and Erich Olschewski from South Jordan, Utah.

Saturday night, Emilio Estefan Jr. (amazing musician and of course Gloria's husband!) made a surprise appearance onstage at House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay with Carlos Santana during An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live – Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow. Estefan sat in for a couple of songs with percussionist Karl Perazzo on drums and percussion.

Santana performs again tonight and then returns in September to continue his residency at House of Blues Las Vegas.

On Saturday, June 1, The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas officially opened Carnevale -- the summer-long event celebrating the festivals of Italy. Vegas Chef Phillip Dell Takes Home Prize On Food Network's "Chopped"

Award-winning Chef Phillip Dell took home the prize as he competed in a unique episode of the Food Network’s ”Chopped” last night, Thursday, May 30. The Las Vegas native beat out three chefs in the competition in the “Cook Your Butt Off” episode, which featured four chefs with incredible weight-loss stories.

As they charged into the Chopped Kitchen to compete, the chefs – Chris Avtges, Elizabeth Mwanga, Joel Gargano, and Phillip Dell – shared emotional stories of weight loss and transformation to a healthy diet and lifestyle. In the first mystery basket, the competitors found a fatty protein that challenged them to stick to healthier food philosophies. In the entrée round, there was a fish to break down and a snack food to transform, and when the final two physically fit competitors dash into the dessert round, the judges watched eagerly to see if the angel food cake creations would be heavenly. In the end, Chef Dell took the “cake.”

“Being on the show was an absolute blast, and winning was completely surreal,” said Chef Phillip Dell. “I wanted to show people that they can transform their bodies and the way they feel, simply by transforming the foods they eat. There were some extremely tense moments, but looking back, things worked out very well.”

After enduring a compelling weight loss journey and losing 92 pounds in just over one year, Chef Dell, owner of Sin City Chefs, began teaching classes in healthy cooking and eating. Chef Dell works to teach others how to turn the foods they love into healthier versions while maintaining great taste. He has cooked for stars of music and film, and helped clients achieve their weight loss and health goals. He teaches healthy eating seminars and won the endorsement of the American Heart Association in recognition of his heart-healthy menus and cooking style.

Hailing from Traverse City, Mich., Chef Dell moved to Las Vegas in 2005 and worked as a pastry chef at Wynn Las Vegas. Halfway through his weight loss journey, Chef Dell was introduced to the sport of bodybuilding. In his first year competing, Dell finished top five in six shows and competed as a part of Team USA in the 2007 Natural Olympia in Greece. He holds the title of World Champion for the Deadlift in his weight class with a 440 pound lift.
