Celebrate Labor Day Weekend at The Village at Lake Las Vegas with free concerts, a Margarita Festival, pig roast and barbecue

The Village at Lake Las Vegas kicks off Labor Day weekend with a free lakeside classic rock concert by a Billy Joel tribute band on Friday night and the free series “Jazz on the Lake” with local artist Bobby C. on Saturday night.

The Margarita Festival, hosted by Sonrisa Grill on Sunday afternoon, will be open for bartenders to enter and mix up their best margarita recipe for cash prizes. Similar to the chili cook-off, tasters will have a card to vote for their favorite flavored margarita. There will be a tequila bar, barbecue and live entertainment to keep the energy flowing throughout the day. A portion of the proceeds from the Margarita Festival will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

To celebrate Labor Day, Sunset & Vines will hold a pig roast and barbecue on Monday afternoon. The barbecue, which will start earlier in the day, will feature all-American favorites like burgers, barbecue chicken, ribs and much more with prices starting at $12. The pig roast will start later in the day and feature a variety of specialties including chicken, seafood and wine pairings in addition to the featured pork. Prices for the pig roast range from $25 to $27, with wine pairings starting at $40.
