KFED stiffs staff! Vince Neil checks in....

Kevin Federline spent Thursday afternoon and evening (7/30/09) at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino filming his new reality show for VH1. Federline and friends arrived on property around 5 p.m., stopping by the pool with camera crew in tow. After filming a quick scene, he left and returned later that night for a party in Wasted Space. Joined by his new girlfriend Victoria Prince and 13 of their friends, observers said a “noticeably heavier” Federline sipped Grey Goose vodka and Red Bulls from the comped bottle service and then decided to stiff their servers. Aside from that, sources say he was polite and seemed to be having fun. Today (7/31/09) Vince Neil was spotted checking out the sound system inside The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for his upcoming show on Saturday (8/1/09). Motley Crue headlines Crue Fest at The Joint with Godsmack, Theory of a Deadman, Drowning Pool and Charm City Devils. Sources also said Neil is one of the first guests to stay in a luxury pool villa suite in Hard Rock’s new Paradise Tower celebrating its grand opening TODAY.

It's the Mayor's Birthday - Let's Party!

Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman will celebrate his 70th birthday in style on Friday, July 31 with a public birthday street party on Fremont Street Experience. “It’ll be a blast!” Goodman said. “I’m inviting everyone to leave their worries behind and join me for a one-of-a-kind evening that will benefit three local charities. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my birthday than to share it with the citizens of fabulous Las Vegas!” Fremont Street Experience is currently in the middle of its Summer of ’69 festival and concert series and Mayor Goodman’s birthday street party fits right in with the festivities. “We have the `happiest mayor in the universe’ and with Fremont Street Experience currently the `hippiest place in Las Vegas,’ we are proud to host the mayor’s birthday party,” said Jeff Victor, president of Fremont Street Experience. “We are excited that the mayor decided to make his birthday a public event to raise money for three fantastic local charities.” Mayor Goodman’s 70th Birthday Celebration will be a Fremont Street Experience “street party” at the First Street Stage plaza next to Golden Nugget from 7-10 p.m. on Friday, July 31. There will be special entertainment and appearances from performers throughout Las Vegas and a ceremony on stage with Mayor Goodman will take place from 8:30-9 p.m. Admission is a $20 donation and will be sold at the entrance gate. Charities will receive 100 percent of money donated with funds raised going to Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, Opportunity Village and Three Square. Bombay Sapphire Gin, the Mayor’s gin of choice, will be the drink of choice at Goodman’s 70th birthday party. In celebration of the occasion, special “Good-Man Martinis” will be served inside the party on Fremont Street Experience. With the $20 charitable donation, street party participants will receive two “Good-Man Martinis” or other gin mixed drinks made with Bombay Sapphire, plus a commemorative T-shirt and button. “This is an opportunity for all Las Vegans to participate in celebrating the 70th birthday of our very popular mayor,” said Michael Severino, general manager event marketing of Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada. “I thank Bombay Sapphire for helping with this `fun-draiser’ and we look forward to a great time.” Fremont Street Experience is producing a special tribute to Mayor Goodman that will play during the ceremony on Viva Vision, the world’s largest video screen. United States Bartenders Guild will also make a special presentation to Mayor Goodman. Golden Nugget is the host hotel property for the birthday celebration. “We look forward to the Golden Nugget’s involvement in this festive occasion,” said Brett Kellerman, chief operating officer of the Golden Nugget. “We are pleased to be helping raise money for these great local charities.”

Lola Belle Gets Down in the Litter with Itchy & Scratchy!

It was a great honor for me to able to sit down and talk with the two “In Kits” that are Itchy and Scratchy. You know who they are! The two hardest working celebrity cats in this town. While we covered a variety of subjects here are the most interesting tidbits! Lola Belle: So you cats must like snacks. What are your favorite ones? Itchy: Pounce and plastic wrapping paper. Pounce does taste a lot better and it doesn’t make me throw up. But I still really like the plastic. (hummmm interesting!) Scratchy: Pounce and my brothers head when I’m really hungry! (sidenote – that is pretty scary! I would freak if my furbrother started chewing on my head! Just a thought.) For all your fans this is good information so they can send you oodles of POUNCE! Lola Belle: What do you cats do on a typical day? When not working? Itchy & Scratchy – “meowing in unison” Dad sets the TV on his news (Fox 5) before he leaves... but Scratchy is pretty good at the remote, so we change it to reruns of “Sabrina the Teenaged Witch”...because we love Salem the cat! Lola Belle: With certain celebrities getting in “trouble” for their use of certain substances…what is your “Official Stance” on the widespread use of Catnip among the feline set? Itchy: (Licking his paw and not looking me in the eye) Well we just had it today. And it was personally given to us by the founder of PETA and it is natural. She likes us because we are ambassadors of the city for kindness for animals. Scratchy: I like it! But down the road it might lead to trouble, I don’t think we are going to get paid by the South Point anymore. Mr. Gaughan says we won’t get another paycheck until we pass the employee drug test. (Food for thought for all felines when considering “catnip,” it can lead to unemployment!) Jason: The boys are now honorary employees at The South Point. Their title is Field Mice Chasers in the equestrian center. Lola Belle: Now that you are in the public eye and with paparazzi lurking everywhere, can we expect any scandalous behavior to surface and tarnish your image? Meowing in unison and looking at each other, “Not exactly SCANDULOUS, but we do like to change it up and since we are twins our dates never know who they are dating.” (Itchy and Scratchy later denied saying this after pictures surfaced of them having drinks with female felines at an undisclosed location in Las Vegas!) Lola Belle: So how did you cool cats end up with Jason? Itchy: My brother and I were the last two kittens in the display box at the pet store. Dad's ex-girlfriend saw us and was only going to take me. But my brother was all mad and he put his paws on the glass...so she took him too. Then we went back to our first apartment...and Dad came home from work. I was there to greet him at the door...Scratchy was behind the stereo. Scratchy: Dad always wanted a black cat with white paws. So I was pretty confident he'd like us. I laid down the law early on and things have ran smoothly ever since. (Well we know who is in charge here!) Lola Belle: How has your surge of fame and being in the spotlight affected your Dad? Scratchy: Let’s just say that a long time ago I dug my Dad’s sanity in the litter box…and he still hasn’t found it! So you see readers Celebrities are just like us! Prone to strange behavior (plastic wrap?) and scandal. Although famous I personally found Itchy and Scratchy to be very forthcoming and open (not allowing for the later denial of the nature of the pics that surfaced.) On a serious note the “In Kits” have brought a tremendous amount of entertainment to all Fox 5 news viewers and have done a great deal for animal awareness! They are even holders of the much coveted “Proclamation” from the Mayor Oscar Goodman. The boys are excited because they are about to launch their own website where fans can buy t-shirts and 8x10 pictures of them with a portion of the proceeds going to the NSPCA.

Jubilee Celebrates 28 Years of Glitz, Glammer and Glitter

JUBILEE! CELEBRATES 28 YEARS OF LAS VEGAS GLITZ, GLAMOUR AND GLITTER Classic Vegas isn’t gone, you just have to know where to look for it!
As one of the longest-running shows on the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, the retro-glam showgirl extravaganza Jubilee! at Bally’s Las Vegas has entertained more than 11 million guests. On July 31 the show celebrates 28 years of gorgeous showgirls, lavish costumes, dazzling scenery, world-renowned specialty acts, dynamic music and graceful pageantry. Conceived, staged and directed by the legendary Donn Arden, who brought the spectacular French-style revue “Lido de Paris” to Las Vegas, Jubilee! is an elaborate stage production To commemorate the anniversary Bally’s Las Vegas is offering a special hotel package. The glamorous getaway includes a minimum two night hotel stay in a Bally’s deluxe room appointed in an art deco style, two tickets to Jubilee!, 2-for-1 Bally’s Spa entrance and $50 dining credit. Reservations can be made online at http://www.BallysLasVegas.com. Jubilee! is performed twice nightly, six days a week at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., dark on Fridays. Ticket prices are $52.50, $72.50, $92.50 and $112.50 and can be purchased online at http://www.BallysLasVegas.com or by calling the Bally’s box office at 702.967.4111. In appreciation of local support, residents can purchase $28 tickets with valid Nevada ID during July and August, limit of six tickets per purchase. A limited-capacity backstage tour offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays gives guests a once-in-a-lifetime behind the scenes look at both the historical and technical aspects of the show. To maintain the highest show quality, auditions are held every January and July for dancers and singers. Next month show management will host open auditions in Orlando, New York and the entertainment capital Las Vegas, to find talent that sparkles greater than the rhinestones on each costume. Aspiring female and male dancers are required to have strong ballet and jazz technique while singers are required to have range between up-tempo classic Broadway to ballads. As the only showgirl show standing, Jubilee! embodies the very essence of sexy, classic Las Vegas. Earlier this month the show kicked off a new creative campaign. Tag lines reading “The headdress weighs 35 lbs. but the rest of the costume could fit in a teacup,” and “The grandest entrance in Vegas isn’t at the front of a hotel” remind audiences about the glamour and spectacle of 85 women wearing little more than feathers and rhinestones. Now that is VEGAS!
