N9NE Steakhouse...Why NFLer's Love It!

NFL linebacker for the Cleveland Browns William “Willie” McGinest dined at N9NE Steakhouse inside the Palms Casino Resort Saturday night (3.14.09) with a party of six guys. Dressed in designer jeans and a white button-down dress shirt, McGinest enjoyed the signature rock shrimp and Morty’s Lemon Chicken.

Also spotted at N9NE Steakhouse was Peter Rose, former Major League Baseball player and manager. Coined with the nickname “Charlie Hustle,” he sat in the main dining room drinking mango ice tea, while feasting on the shrimp cocktail, an 8-ounce filet and a couple side dishes. Rose was wearing a red and white striped dress shirt and designer jeans. So why do they love N9NE? Cuz it has sizzlin hot tasty food and the best martini's in town!!

Emmy nominated celebrity actress Kelly Monaco and the Daily 10’s Sal Masekela invaded Body English while DJ Clinton Sparks kept the crowd moving. While Monaco won the first season of "Dancing With The Stars" she is set to star in the upcoming Peepshow in which she will star as Bo Peep, a precocious character who discovers her sexuality throughout the show.

SUPERMODEL Amber Smith..Playboy Covergirl Sighting!

Meanwhile a little bit down the strip on Saturday, March 14 actress / supermodel Amber Smith hosted an evening at Hawaiian Tropic Zone, Las Vegas. Some things that I did not know about Amber, her dad is former AFLer Russell Conway Smith. This girl started young! By the age of 16 her passport looked like a telephone book. With gigs booked in Paris, she also modeled throughout Europe for four years. Her breakthrough came when her naturally blonde hair was dyed red, giving her a strong resemblance to 1940s and '50s movie star Rita Hayworth. Sasha Grey & Billy Corgan AJ McLean & Lance Bass

Sasha Grey, the adult film star crossing over to mainstream with her starring role in Steven Soderbergh's new film "The Girlfriend Experience," celebrated turning 21 at TAO Las Vegas Saturday night. Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins and friends toasted the actress as they sat down to dinner at a long table in the center of the dining room.

Of course every birthday needs cake, and Sasha made a wish before blowing out the candles, even taking a picture of the chocolate masterpiece with her phone before everyone dug in.

Backstreet Boy AJ McLean arrived at the tail end of the meal, just in time to head up to the nightclub where the celebration continued with sparklers, even more sweets and Sasha's beverage of choice -- McCallan 12.

Another former boy band star, Lance Bass, was at a VIP table nearby and AJ McLean came over to say hello. Lance was celebrating the birthday of his assistant following their dinner party at the restaurant below.

Brittany Snow, who just last weekend celebrated her own birthday at TAO, was spotted at their table on the dance floor. Over at LAVO, Whitney Port was seen continuing the bachelorette party weekend she threw for her sister Ashley. The group of girls dined in the restaurant before heading up to the nightclub, where Veuve Cliquot La Grande Dame flowed. They even jumped up on the couches at their VIP table to dance when DJ Skratchy put on 80's hits "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and "Let's Hear It For The Boy."

Terry Fator - New Show - Gotta see this one!

Living in Las Vegas we locals have a unique opportunity to see talent come and talent go. I predict that this particular talent, Mr. Terry Fator will be around for a long long time! I mentioned to him that we as a town and in the media are a tad jaded and are always looking for the holy grail of shows! Voila a new super show has just opened! Terry Fator and his puppets make for an unforgettable evening of humor, laughter and you just feel good!

His turtle Winston could have his own show...he is that funny! Hey Winston's magic is as good as Cris Angel's...he levitates! But my favorite would have to be "Cougar" Vicky and what a man eater she is...funny!

Amid the doom and gloom that is surrounding us every day...Terry's show shines out as a beacon of hope that laughter is the best medicine. and when asked what his Mom thinks about the show he said "she was in the audience tonight and she loved it and is proud! Thanks Mom."

See just a genuinely nice guy with a WHOLE BUNCH of Talent!!

Cashella - Magic is a Drag..NOT

Master magicians in this town are plentiful and entertaining! However then comes Cashetta...a magician in drag! Yes that's right in drag! I am always a tad skeptical regarding the new shows and how well they will do and how funny, entertaining they are and this show is F.U.N.N.Y! Her humor is off the wall (read raunchy) and the delivery of each joke is well timed and paced correctly. Cashetta gives magic a fabulous makeover as one of the only female impersonator magicians in the world. Her act includes cards that disappear and reappear in unlikely places and a gypsy rope illusion that rivals Harry Houdini’s famous escapes — with a twist. She even teaches an audience member, dressed in drag, to perform an illusion. And just wait to see what she does with a five-foot balloon. Cashetta relies heavily on her interaction with her audience, pulling them on stage to help with her illusions. The atmosphere is more of a party than a show.“Magic’s a Drag" plays Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Harmon Theater.

Our community that is Las Vegas is filled with caring and compassionate people and business owners. Below is a story that will bring tears to your eyes and hopefully bring you out for a great cause!

RA Sushi Bar Restaurant located at the Fashion Show Mall will be hosting its 5th Annual Nicky’s Week Fundraiser May 24-30. Nicky’s Week is a week long event that raises money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. RA Sushi has chosen this charity to work with because one of the owners of RA had a young nephew who had suffered from brain cancer and St. Jude assisted the family during his treatments. Unfortunately young Nicky passed away in February 2005 but the fundraiser was named in his honor to further promote the exceptional attention and support provided at no cost to families and children receiving care at St. Jude. During Nicky’s Week, RA Sushi will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of various food and beverage items to St. Jude.

The items are: Edamame, Tootsy Maki sushi roll, Shrimp Shumai, FIJI, Red Bull, The Republic of Tea and other select beverages. All 22 RA Sushi locations around the country are raising money during Nicky’s Week and the company plans on raising more than $110,000 to the charity this year. In the past, RA Sushi has raised nearly $400,000 for St. Jude since the beginning of Nicky’s Week in 2005. RA Sushi is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. or later.

In these times of hardship every little bit that we can do to help other people is such a big opening of your heart and will certainly be appreciated! So go have some great sushi knowing that you are paying if forward!
