Dam Good Time at Dixie's Dam Bar!

A picture says a thousand words or so they say! But as you can see by these picts no need to go that deep. Dixie's Dam Bar last night had their "Grand Opening" and yes it was grand...grand ole fun! The chicken wings were sizzling (like the Dixie Diva's!) and the Siku Glacier Ice vodka and Foster's flowed for 2 1/2 hours!! Aye caramba....oh and they were pouring shots off the bar! Damn good time!!

X Men of Burlesque a hot new sizzling show full of hot cut ripped guys will be opening soon! CAN'T wait for that! Will keep you in the loop.

Hooter's Hotel & Casino is a laid back place where you can go and drink and have a really fun time...and no posers allowed!!

I sooo remember singing along to Tiffany's music and wish I could of been there at Tao to see her perform!! But from the looks of the crowd everyone had a good time...hard not to have a good time at Tao. When asked how she liked performing again she said, "The crazier the crowd gets, the better it is and this TAO crowd was crazy tonight."

The World Famous Olympic Gardens - James Caan!

Las Vegas..fabulous Las Vegas! The OG or aka The Olympic Gardens just celebrated it's 20th year Anniversary! What a party it was...OPEN Bar and yummy food. Not to mention the pretty girls and of course the World's Happiest Mayor Hizzoner Oscar Goodman! We were able to snap a picture of Actor James Caan with owner Pete Eliades! Two wonderful personalities who have contributed to this city that is Las Vegas. Rio the dancer was also more than happy to smile for the camera and she was just NICE (and pretty!) Comedian Vinnie Favorito was also on hand (did not get a good pic) to keep the crowd laughing. All in all a wonderful party. Happy 20th (wish I was that young!) OG!!

"Bad Boys of Magic" - Penn & Teller!

The Bad Boys of Magic Penn & Teller are larger than life!! They have been together for 35 years as a comedy duo...longer than most marriages!! The celebration for this momentual event took place Tuesday 3/3 and they unveiled the image above which is a gigantic 27,000 square foot sign on the side of the Rio Hotel & Suite Casino! The duo have spent most of their lives playing with knives, guns, livestock and fire-eating showgirls. Magic rocks and Vegas loves Penn & Teller!!

They perform in the Penn & Teller Theatre at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino nightly (dark Thursdays and Fridays) at 9 p.m. Tickets are $75 and $85 for VIP/Ampersand Seating, and are available by calling 702-777-7776.

HELLS TO THE NO! DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS NEVER OKAY!

Let's get something straight right now. It is NEVER okay for a man to hit a woman! It is criminal and almost as importantly, it is the sign of a coward. We have all read the news about singer Rihanna being viciously beaten by her boyfriend, former star Chris Brown. The attack was brutal and no matter what transpired prior to the beating, uncalled for. We here have sat by and watched celebrity after celebrity say "we don't know the whole story...". What exactly could be "the whole story" that caused this coward to punch, bite and threaten to kill Rihanna? What kind of man bites a woman who is strapped into her car seat? Waiting. That's what we thought. We have made it a point to avoid controversial issues here because we want to be the place you go to find out the latest news and info about our favorite place, The LV. There's enough doom and gloom in the world and you can read all of it somewhere else. However, my personal experience with domestic violence in my own family combined with my "Boss Lady" Carole McCabe-Joy's escape from an abusive husband many years ago brought us to the point where we could no longer sit on the sidelines. If we sat on the sidelines we would be no better than those celebrities who say "we don't know the whole story". We know the whole story. Domestic violence is the whole story. It's the beginning. It's the end. I have a 6 year old niece who loves Rihanna. I can't let her think that getting a beat down from her boyfriend or any man is okay. If we as a society don't stand up and scream ENOUGH then we as a society have failed my niece and all of the women who have been victims of cowardly men who use their fists instead of their heads. Pure Mixes it up!!! Vanilla Ice - Carrot Top, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Steve Wyrick!

PURE Nightclub took The Strip by storm on Tuesday night as DJ Hollywood’s Beat Clan Takeover brought Vanilla Ice to the stage where he got the party well underway with an exciting live performance. Joined by his drummer and DJ Dirty Chopsticks, Vanilla Ice rocked the house for over 30 minutes with his old school smash hit “Ice Ice Baby” highlighting the show, sending the crowd into a frenzy as they sang along to the legendary lyrics. Partiers were pumped as the rapper-rocker kept the party hot, performing his own version of “Play That Funky Music” as well as newer songs of his such as “Dirty South” and “Hit’em Hard.” Afterwards, Vanilla Ice took to a table on the main VIP stage where he caught up with Nascar racer Dale Earnhardt Jr. who was seated at a VIP table nearby with a group of friends.

Also partying on the main stage of PURE were mixed martial arts master Dean Lister of the television series “The Ultimate Fighter,” comedian Carrot Top, magician Steve Wyrick and hip-hop duo HardNox.

Blockbuster Movie Star Sighting - Carla Gugino..

Carla Gugino, star of Race to Witch Mountain and the upcoming Watchmen movie spotted at Ivan Kane's Forty Deuce at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, dancing with friends and watching the world famous burlesque show in a VIP booth Saturday night. Can't wait to see both movies!!

My first Assignment...CANINE CORRESPONDENT....ACE VENTURA PET DETECTIVE JR!

Oh my paw!! My first Canine Correspondent Assignment! Being on the Green Carpet covering this movie will be in a word PAWSOME! The movie has a personal attachement for me as Ryan Malgarini (CBS’ Gary Unmarried)is hosting the event...his Grandfather and Grandma's dog Mia (who has gone to the Rainbow Bridge) was a paw pal.

This movie looks to be very very entertaining and will certianly provide an afternoon or evening of fun for the whole family! I will be pawing my movie review on Monday!
