Drink Up For National Rum Day At Minus5 Ice Experiences

Minus5 Ice Experience will celebrate National Rum Day with a smooth as summer rum-based cocktail featuring Blue Chair Bay® Rum on August 16. To recognize this special holiday, the ice experience continues its celebrity cocktail program by honoring Blue Chair Bay Rum creator and country music superstar Kenny Chesney with his signature cocktail. The drink will be available at both the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas and The Shoppes at Mandalay Place locations.

Riptide is the perfect blend of Blue Chair Bay Rum Banana Rum Cream and coconut water, served in a glass made of pure ice. Banana Rum Cream merges the taste of sweet, ripe bananas with surprising notes of caramel and vanilla. With warm and distinctive flavors, guests can kick back and relax, as they take in the all-new, beach-like icy wonderland. In addition, alternative rum flavor profiles are available, including Vanilla Rum and Coconut Spiced Rum.

Guests can indulge in Minus5 newest cocktail while checking out the one-of-a-kind Surf Shack at the Grand Canal Shoppes, created in partnership with Blue Chair Bay Rum. Featuring an eclectic mix of palm trees, beach chairs, surf boards and more, guests can ride the ice-wave and sit on the oversized Adirondack chair for the "coolest" National Rum Day escape in Las Vegas.

Minus5 Ice Experience inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas and The Shoppes at Mandalay Place are the ultimate destinations to enjoy an icy cocktail and celebrate the Caribbean-based spirit. For more information about Minus5 Ice Experience, guests can visit www.minus5experience.com.

And with music in its DNA, the brunch at Freedom Beat is paired with live entertainment featuring the tunes of Las Vegas’ best local musicians, including a month long Residency featuring "The Voice" season six finalist, Ryan Whyte Maloney every Saturday through the month of August. Other acts slated to hit the Freedom Beat stage include Rick Duarte and Peter Love.

Silver Dollar Pancakes
Maple Walnut Brioche Toast
Classic Benedict

While the food is the star on the stage, the Freedom 2 Drink is taken as seriously as the food on the table, and Freedom Beat’s brunch features the always popular Bottomless Mimosas, as well as introducing a custom-made Bloody Mary bar featuring a selection of tasty ingredients and over 30 assorted hot sauces. Both offerings are just a $10 add-on to the meal.

“We didn’t want to offer another brunch in town, we wanted to have the best brunch in town at the best price,” says Commings. “Instead of an outrageous price with limited offerings, $20 will literally buy you more food than you ever thought you could eat in one sitting.  Unlimited food, never-ending drinks and tunes on our stage…it doesn’t get any better than that.”

Freedom Beat is the restaurant and live music venue where tastes and tunes collide.
