Playmate Jessa Hinton In Vegas! Where?

Stunning actress, model and Playmate Jessa Hinton dined at HEXX Kitchen + Bar at Paris Las Vegas on Monday, June 12.

At lunch, Hinton enjoyed Executive Chef Carlos Buscaglia's new buffalo calamari served with celery, carrots, buffalo hot sauce and ranch, and vegetable pizza topped with peppers, broccolini, Brussels sprouts, tomato and fresh mozzarella, complemented by a signature Bloody Mary. Hinton was so delighted with her experience so much that she returned for dinner with some friends, dining family-style on hummus, broccolini and gnocchi with vegetables, an off-the-menu dish requested by Hinton.

The Las Vegas native, now an LA resident, wowed in her raven red hair and bombshell beautiful looks. She happily signed autographs and posed for photos with fans.

Magician Murray Sawchuck Is Honored With Shrunken Head!

The Golden Tiki added to its Cabinet of Curiosities Wednesday night by unveiling celebrity magician Murray Sawchuck's shrunken head.  Managing Partner Branden Powers  and The Baron of the Universe, former contes
tant on "America's Got Talent," were on hand to present the honor to the celebrity magician, comedian, and host of family-friendly "Murray the Magician" show at Planet Hollywood.

"This is very cool. Thank you to The Golden Tiki," said Sawchuck. "It's great to be amongst the ranks of Carrot Top and Robin Leach and all the other shrunken heads who have come before me."

Said Powers, "We're excited to add Murray's head to our wall. These heads keep getting better and better, and it's an honor have these Las Vegas icons be a part of The Golden Tiki tradition. "

Sawchuck's head was crafted over a four week process by Smithsonian artist Terry Barr, and is the seventh in a series of celebrity shrunken heads on display at Vegas' iconic Tiki revival bar. Previous shrunken heads include Marky Ramone of The Ramones, Carrot Top, Frank Marino, Robin Leach, Norm Clarke and Vinnie Paul.

Located in Chinatown, Las Vegas, The Golden Tiki is a journey to a wondrous land where boundaries are only limited to one's imagination. The vision of hospitality veteran Branden Powers, in collaboration with Seth Schorr, Jeff Fine and Joe Cain, The Golden Tiki has spared no expense in recreating the classic mid-century tiki bar, reminiscent of Don the Beachcomber and Trader Vic's storied establishments. The cocktail menu features nostalgic classics and new creations, as well as a traditional Martinique ti service and a special treasure chest VIP experience. Collaborating with renowned artists including Tiki Bosko, Billy the Crud, Bill Collins and Oceanic Arts, the one-of-a-kind decor also boasts an animatronic skeleton of the mythical privateer and legend behind The Golden Tiki, William Tobias Faulkner. Open 24 hours a day, The Golden Tiki offers a multitude of experiences and can host private parties up to 145 people. For more information, visit thegoldentiki.com or call 702.222.3196. The D Casino Becomes Official DTLV Partner For Golden Knights

The Vegas Golden Knights – the National Hockey League’s newest franchise – broke the ice by announcing the D Las Vegas as its official Downtown Las Vegas (DTLV) casino partner. This six-year exclusive sponsorship deal will entail exciting activations and events for fans in DTLV when the Vegas Golden Knights kick off their inaugural season this fall.

Details about the partnership were unveiled during a press conference on Third Street Stage in the Fremont Street Experience, featuring the D Las Vegas’ CEO Derek Stevens, Mayor Carolyn Goodman, Vegas Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz and Coach Gerard Gallant. It will include the following elements:

·         Annual Fan Fest in Downtown Las Vegas in the off-season

·         Special watch parties at the D for every Vegas Golden Knights game

·         Player appearances at the property

·         Official merchandise pop-up shop at the D

·         Game tickets for purchase at concierge

·         the D Las Vegas zamboni wrap at Vegas Golden Knights’ Summerlin training facility

In addition, Stevens announced that the D Las Vegas will make a $100K donation to jumpstart the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation.

“Coming from Detroit, which is a true Hockeytown, I’ve had the opportunity to see how Mike Ilitch with Little Caesars Arena, and Pete Karmanos with Compuware AAA Hockey have impacted the community and youth sports,” said Stevens. “I am hoping to bring the same spirit to Las Vegas.”

Over the last decade, Mayor Goodman and her husband, former mayor Oscar Goodman, have been key advocates for hockey to come to Las Vegas.  She was delighted to be a part of the day’s festivities.

Mayor Goodman said, “There have been many investors in my time in Las Vegas, but there has never been anyone quite like Derek Stevens. Every time he commits to doing something, he does it quickly and wholeheartedly. His six-year agreement with the Vegas Golden Knights is such an honor for this community, and we’re so thrilled to have the team in our city.”

The press conference took place a week ahead of the NHL Expansion Draft on June 21. President Bubolz also had a few words on what the sponsorship would mean to the team once the season begins in exactly 114 days.

“We’re very excited for this partnership with Derek and the D Las Vegas. Every time I hear him speak about Downtown Las Vegas, I get more and more excited about working with this part of the city.”

As a special treat, Brian Blessing, host of Sportsbook Radio, conducted a special interview with Coach Gallant on what to expect from the new staff and players.

In true Derek Stevens fashion, the ceremony concluded with the hotel CEO surprising Bubolz and Coach Gallant with matching signature blazers, designed with both company logos and personalized names on the back to replicate a hockey jersey.

Fans will be able to get in on the hockey action this fall at T-Mobile Arena.

Iconic And Historic Red Barn Neon Sign Now Installed At Fashion Show Mall

As part of a new partnership to showcase restored, historic Las Vegas signs on the Las Vegas Strip, the Neon Museum’s iconic Red Barn neon sign has been installed on the Fashion Show’s newly renovated Plaza. Consisting of a rotating lineup of restored, historic signs from the Neon Museum’s collection, this partnership marks the very first time signs from this renowned collection will be displayed on world-famous Strip. After several months, the Red Barn sign will be replaced with a different restored sign from the Neon Museum’s collection.

The Red Barn opened in the late 1950s as an antique store at 1317 Tropicana Avenue and was converted into a bar in the early 1960s. By 1969, it had evolved into one of the first openly gay bars in Las Vegas. Featuring drag shows, such as the popular “RB Follies,” the Red Barn provided a place for the gay community to socialize. The Red Barn also published the “RB Bag,” one of the earliest gay magazines in Southern Nevada. The bar closed in March 1988, and its restored iconic martini glass sign is now a part of the Neon Museum’s collection.

The Red Barn sign is on display now; in several months, it will be replaced by a different restored sign from the Neon Museum’s collection.

The Plaza at Fashion Show
3200 S. Las Vegas Blvd.
Las Vegas, Nevada 89109
Sign is installed on a platform near Neiman Marcus (near the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Fashion Show Drive)
For more information about the Neon Museum, go to www.neonmuseum.org or call (702) 387-6366.

LOOK Ahead! Events Coming To The LVMS! NHRA Nationals & Mello Yello

The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway once again will host a pair of Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events in 2018, the National Hot Rod Association announced Wednesday.

The DENSO Spark Plugs NHRA Nationals will take place April 6-8, and the NHRA Toyota Nationals – part of the NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship – is slated for Oct. 25-28. The Strip at LVMS is one of just three drag strips, along with Pomona, Calif., and Charlotte, that will host two Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events in 2018.

“Drag racing is a big part of our lineup here at LVMS, and we’re excited to continue hosting two NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events at The Strip,” LVMS President Chris Powell said. “We’re lucky to have one of the most popular and iconic drag strips in the country here in Las Vegas, and our NHRA national events both have been going strong for nearly 20 years. With two tripleheader NASCAR weekends and a pair of major NHRA national events on our 2018 calendar, we are poised for an historic and amazing season.”

The DENSO Spark Plugs NHRA Nationals is the fourth of 24 events on the series, which again will be carried on FOX Sports and FOX Sports 1. Antron Brown (Top Fuel), Tommy Johnson Jr. (Funny Car), Tanner Gray (Pro Stock) and Jay Turner (Top Fuel Harley) won titles at this year’s spring event.

The NHRA Toyota Nationals is the penultimate NHRA event of the season and was the site where Antron Brown clinched world titles each of the past two years. Steve Torrence (Top Fuel), John Force (Funny Car), Shane Gray (Pro Stock) and Jerry Savoie (Pro Stock Motorcycle) will defend their titles Oct. 26-29 after winning the event in 2016.

The Strip at LVMS has hosted the DENSO Spark Plugs NHRA Nationals since 2000 and the NHRA Toyota Nationals since 2001. For tickets to any events at The Strip at LVMS, log on to LVMS.com or call 1-800-644-4444.
