Hook Jaw Net Radio’s “On Air with Robert & CC” hosts a live interview with repeat guest Ricardo Laguna in the Venetian | The Palazzo Grand Canal Shoppes on Friday, April 11th at 6pm.

Ricardo Laguna is no stranger to “On Air with Robert and CC,” having been on the show as both a guest and a co-host in CC’s absence. Although he is best known for his BMX stunts, Ricardo is also immersed in the Las Vegas community. He is recognized in the Hispanic community largely due to his involvement, as well as his hit TV show “The Ricardo Laguna Project.” In the Clark County Amphitheater on June 28th, the community can attend the 2014 Hispanic Festival, hosted and organized by Ricardo.

Summer Lovin' Residency With Kaskade Comes To Marquee Dayclub & Nightclub!

Multi Grammy-nominated artist Kaskade returns to Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub with an all-new redesigned Summer Lovin’ residency. The night and daytime season-long party will bring back the unparalleled production value that Summer Lovin’ is known for with a fresh look and feel. Beginning May 3, guests will travel back in time with the electronic music DJ as the venue transforms into a 1970’s party.
The past will meet the present as venue-wide custom décor brings the iconic disco fever back to life, paired with chart-topping EDM beats. Friends, Food & Wine Event Coming Up At Sammy's Restaurant In Green Valley!

The all-new Sammy’s Restaurant & Bar in Green Valley will celebrate friends, food and fine wine from Franciscan Estate Winery at Sammy’s Social Club at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30.

The second event in the monthly series will begin with a four-course wine pairing dinner, priced at $50 per person. The meal will start with the jumbo lump crab cake served with Asian slaw and cilantro rémoulade, which will be paired with the Franciscan Estate Sauvignon Blanc. For the second course, diners will indulge in a Brie Cheese & Truffle Oil Artisan Thin Crust Pizza, topped with sautéed mushrooms and paired with the Franciscan Estate Chardonnay. The entrée course will feature the Pappardelle Bolognese made with basil, beef-tomato ragout and shaved Romano. The pasta will be accompanied by the Franciscan Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. For dessert, guests will enjoy the Sticky Toffee Pudding, which comes with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce and will be paired with the Ruffino Moscato D’Asti.

If you don’t help grow the Libertarian Party, you have no voice and you don’t matter. And we are just as ignorant as the Democrats and Republicans say we are as they take away our freedoms, trample on our Civil Liberties and steal every dollar out of our pocket saying “thank you please!”

The 2 Party system is broken; there have been both Republicans and Democrats in power and there is no difference! The Libertarian Party is the only Party who can save Nevada and get her back on track. If we don't get involved, we are guilty of what the other 2 parties accuse us of; being ineffective and the only thing we will ever amount to being is a spoiler in elections.

R&B Group To Bring Soulful Sounds To The Suncoast Showroom 4/19 & 4/20

Legendary R&B group The Manhattans will bring their soulful sounds to the Suncoast Showroom April 19 and 20.

Named after the cocktail of whiskey, vermouth and bitters, The Manhattans formed in the early ‘60s. Their first hit on the Billboard charts was the 1964 song, “I Wanna Be (Your Everything),” the first of eight singles for the group, nearly all in the Top 30.

The group rose to prominence in 1972 with the release of “One Life to Live,” which went to No. 3 on the US R&B charts. A follow-up single, “There’s No Me Without You” also topped at No. 3 on the charts. In the mid-‘70s, The Manhattans achieved top 10 success again with “Don’t Take Your Love” and “Hurt.”

Superstardom came in 1976, when “Kiss and Say Goodbye” became their first No. 1 hit on both the Pop and R&B charts. It also became only the second platinum single in history. Follow-up hits include “I Kinda Miss You,” ”It Feels So Good to Be Loved So Bad,” “We Never Danced a Love Song” and “Am I Losing You.”

The recordings of “Shining Star,” “Crazy” and the cover of Sam Cooke’s “You Send Me” kept The Manhattans at the top of the charts into the early ‘80s.  The group continued to release new music over the next several decades, including 2001’s “Nites Like This.”

Jayde Fuzion At M Resort Spa Casino Brings Fresh Dishes To Menu!

This spring, the contemporary Asian restaurant and grand prize venue of Food Network’s Restaurant Express, Jayde Fuzion at M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas has added introduced several fresh new dishes to its menu.

Inspired by spring’s seasonal ingredients, all-new menu items include grilled Chinese five spiced lamb chops with spring pea salad and goat cheese ($16), BBQ Chinese-style sticky ribs with brown sugar hoisin glaze ($11), sweet chili crab legs with cilantro and garlic ($29), salt and pepper whole soft shell crab with wok-seared chilies and garlic ($24), Singapore street noodles with chicken, peanuts, beansprouts, scallions and tamarind sauce ($12) and chicken chop salad with grilled marinated chicken, Asian mixed greens and creamy mandarin orange-ginger dressing ($10).

“For the spring menu, it was important for us to incorporate fresh, seasonal ingredients, like peas, beansprouts, scallions and greens, while staying true to the authentic Asian menu,” said Chef Mark Sandoval. “Spring is also a time when guests are looking for more vibrant, healthier dishes, like our chicken chop salad, and also the time when grilled or barbecue dishes, like our BBQ Chinese-style sticky ribs, start making a comeback.”

Additional spring favorites include BBQ grilled “Misty Point” oysters prepared dynamite style with Sriracha mayo and wasabi tobiko ($15), grilled artichoke salad with crispy radishes, spring peas and green garlic wild-mustard dressing ($11), tempura of spring asparagus served with preserved spring lemon wild-honey dipping sauce ($10) and chilled Vietnamese spring rolls featuring shrimp, lettuce, carrots, cucumber, red bell pepper, rice noodles, fresh cilantro, mint and Thai basil, wrapped in rice paper with a sweet chili lime dipping sauce ($8).

Project Dinner Table has partnered with United Way of Southern Nevada, ultimately leaving a legacy for the community, powered by community.

DT3 is located on 3rd Street, between Stewart Avenue and Ogden Road. With the excitement and energy of the Fremont Street Experience just steps away, Project Dinner Table will enable guests to truly experience all that Downtown Las Vegas has to offer by experiencing its unique blend of community in one night. The signature dinner table seating 175 will run along one block of 3rd Street.

Leading the culinary experience will be Executive Chef Charles Wilson of Downtown Grand. Chef Wilson has nearly 20 years of experience leading teams around the country and the world. He studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Austin, Texas. From there, his career began as a sous chef at the Four Seasons Chicago and then Four Seasons Hualalai at Historic Ka'upulehu. He would spend the next few years working his way to becoming an executive chef at Pacific Islands Resort LTD Japan. Chef Wilson arrived in Las Vegas in 2004, landing a position as an executive chef for banquets at MGM Grand. By 2007, he joined Caesars Palace where he consistently earned high praise from his teams for his excellent leadership both in front and back of the house. During his years at that property, Caesars Palace would go on to winning the AAA Four Diamond Award and having numerous restaurants win the world’s most prestigious accolades ranging from Bradley Ogden and Restaurant Guy Savoy also winning AAA Four Diamond Award to restaurants and dining experiences being named “Most Popular Restaurants” by Zagat.

Working side by side with Chef Wilson will be Assistant Executive Chef Todd Harrington. His eagerness to learn, proven prowess at team leadership and dynamic flair for contemporary, palate-pleasing fare are what led him to the property, where he currently created menus for all dining experiences inside the hotel. Chef Harrington studied at the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute in Pittsburgh while working as an assistant chef at Chef Alan’s American Bistro. Drawn by Las Vegas’ exciting and expanding restaurant scene, Harrington relocated to the Entertainment Capital of the World in 2005. He has worked in some of Las Vegas’ finest kitchens including Central Michel Richard at Caesars Palace, which he opened and served as executive chef for two years.

Member price per dinner is $175. The non-member price is $190 (prices are all inclusive).

The next 2014 dinners will take place May 17, Sept. 13 and Oct. 11.* The adventure experiences will be announced later this year.

When the members of GROUPLOVE met it was like a dream. The setting was a remote artist colony on the exotic, mysterious Greek island of Crete. Each member went to Greece for their own independent reasons but over time they gravitated towards each other and discovered the sound that unified them: a merging of richly narrated, intricate songs with anthemic classic pop production. On the surface the band’s vibe comes off as happy, the songs soar with a kind of shimmering, youthful exuberance. But just beneath that sunny sheen, there is a reservoir of longing and melancholy. The GROUPLOVE signature is blending those two pillars of life: sorrow and joy.
