"BAZ - Star Crossed Love" Celebrates One Year Anniversary

Acclaimed production "BAZ - Star Crossed Love," which made its spectacular debut at The Palazzo Las Vegas in July 2016, will celebrate its one-year anniversary throughout the month of July and usher in the return of originating star Ruby Lewis. Lewis, who went on to become The Leading Lady in the Broadway production "Paramour," returns to the stage July 25, 2017.

"I couldn't be more thrilled to return to my 'BAZ' family and Las Vegas," said Lewis, whose career has taken her from her hometown of Shelbyville, Kentucky to the entertainment hubs New York City, Los Angeles, and now back to Las Vegas. "From the immersive design of the theater to the talent of everyone involved in the show, 'BAZ' is a treasure that I'm elated to rejoin."

Centered around three of the greatest love stories of the ages, "BAZ - Star Crossed Love" tells the tales of ill-fated couples from visionary filmmaker Baz Luhrmann's iconic films "Romeo + Juliet," "Moulin Rouge," and "The Great Gatsby."

With emotional renditions of popular songs including "Young and Beautiful" by Lana Del Ray, "A Little Party Never Killed Nobody" by Fergie, and "When Doves Cry" by Prince, the production, which has been noted for "soaring performances" (Las Vegas Sun) and "the best vocals on the Strip!" (Vegas.com) features an ensemble cast and band.

"BAZ - Star Crossed Love," a show more than five years in the making, is the creation of For The Record, a genre-bending theatrical company in Los Angeles with a vision of turning the soundtracks of iconic filmmakers into immersive theatrical concert experiences.

A star of stage, television, and feature film, Ruby Lewis has performed in national tours of "Jersey Boys," "Grease," and "Gypsy;" in guest and recurring roles on "Girl Meets World," "Desperate Housewives," and "Hart of Dixie;" and on the big screen in "Pass the Light," "Another Perfect Stranger," and "1 Message."

"BAZ - Star Crossed Love" performs Tuesday through Sunday at 7 p.m. in The Palazzo Theatre. Tickets start at $59.50 and can be purchased at any box office at The Venetian or The Palazzo, at palazzo.com, or by calling 702.414.9000 or 866.641.7469.
