Fan Fave Antiques Roadshow Is Going Outdoors!

In an all-new innovation to its annual production tour, ANTIQUES ROADSHOW will host an outdoor appraisal event! A first-time stop in Newport, Rhode Island on Tuesday, September 19, will take ROADSHOW cameras to the grounds of historic Rosecliff mansion in search of America's hidden treasures. ANTIQUES ROADSHOW, WGBH Boston and Rhode Island PBS will host an all-day appraisal festival, resulting in a new look for select episodes of Season 22.

"When the opportunity arose to take ANTIQUES ROADSHOW to breathtaking Newport, I couldn't resist the idea of creating outdoor episodes," said executive producer Marsha Bemko. "Placing the show in this unique surrounding allows us to bring to life location and history for our fans like never before!"

Admission to ANTIQUES ROADSHOW is free, but tickets are required and must be obtained in advance. Fans can apply for a chance to receive one pair of free tickets per household. The 2017 Newport, Rhode Island event ticket application process opens Monday, May 22 at 3pm ET. To enter the drawing for free tickets and to see complete application rules, go to pbs.org/roadshowtickets. For more information you may also call toll-free 888-762-3749.

Deadline for applications is Monday, July 31, 2017 at 11:59pm PT.

At the event, around 3,000 ticketed guests will receive free valuations of their antiques and collectibles from specialists from the country's leading auction houses and independent dealers. Each guest is invited to bring two items for appraisal. To see FAQs about ANTIQUES ROADSHOW events, go to: pbs.org/wgbh/roadshow/tickets/faq.

From the Newport event, two episodes of television will be created for inclusion in ANTIQUES ROADSHOW's 22nd season to air in 2018.

Part adventure, part history lesson and part treasure hunt, ANTIQUES ROADSHOW, the 14-time Emmy® nominated production of WGBH Boston, is the most-watched ongoing primetime series on PBS and airs Mondays at 8/7c PM.
