Get Your Tix To The Village People! They Take The Stage On 4/29


Flash back to the 1970’s with Disco Explosion! at Cannery Casino Hotel’s The Club on Saturday, April 29. The show’s lineup includes The Village People, Sister Sledge and The Trammps featuring Earl Young.

The Village People, well-known for their quirky costumes and catchy disco hits, rose to fame in the 1970’s. Their hit singles include “Macho Man,” “YMCA,” “In the Navy” and more. The current lineup includes Ray Simpson, Felipe Rose, Alex Briley, Eric Anzalone, Bill Whitefield and Jim Newman.

Sister Sledge was formed by sisters Debbie, Joni, Kim and Kathy in 1971. Inspired by their performing parents, the sisters brought their musical talents together to become one of the best-known disco groups. Their best-loved singles include “We are Family,” “Lost in Music” and “Thinking of You.”

Disco and soul band The Trammps featuring Earl Young got their start in the early 1970’s. Their popularity exploded in 1976 with the hit “Disco Inferno,” included on the “Saturday Night Fever” film’s Grammy Award-winning soundtrack. Additional hits include “Hold Back the Night,” “The Night the Lights Went Out” and more. Under the direction of drummer and bass singer Earl Young, the group released a new single, “Get Your Lovin’ While You can,” in 2014.
