In anticipation of CHICA’s spring 2017 opening, featured chef Lorena Garcia’s portrait will be added to The Venetian’s 21-foot-tall outdoor celebrity chef wall featuring culinary luminaries such as Wolfgang Puck, Thomas Keller, Mario Batali, Buddy “Cake Boss” Valastro and Emeril Lagasse on Feb. 15, 2017.
The celebration will begin at 12:30 p.m. adjacent to The Venetian porte cochere with a CHICA-inspired cocktail reception followed by a toast. Media are invited to capture the moment of Chef Garcia standing in front of her new larger-than-life picture. Interview opportunities are also available.
Venezuelan-born restaurateur, philanthropist, TV personality, TV producer, and published author Garcia will be the Las Vegas Strip’s first female Latina chef. Lorena Garcia is currently one of the country’s leading chefs, well known for numerous TV series, a successful chain of restaurants, and cookbook. On the heels of the success of her first cookbook, Lorena Garcia’s New Latin Classics, Garcia has taken her love of cooking to the next level by creating the Lorena Bella Kitchen Collection for HSN.
