Time to wine, dine and have a fabulous time – all for a great cause! TREVI Italian Restaurant, located inside The Forum Shops at Caesars, will host a seven-course wine-pairing dinner to benefit Susan G. Komen Nevada during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26.
Executive Chef Jose Navarro’s specialty menu will be priced at $125 per person, with proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen Nevada. The organization, which brought together Susan G. Komen Southern Nevada and Susan G. Komen Northern Nevada earlier this year, has a mission to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in the community and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
TREVI’s dinner will begin with a Limoncello Wedge salad as an amuse-bouche course, made with foi gras meringue and caviar powder, followed by a Sea Bass Crudo, marinated in cured lemon, olives and Fertitta extra virgin olive oil, paired with a glass of J. Lohr Carol’s Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc.
The second pairing course will offer Crab Arancini, with peacamole, toasted saffron aioli and tobiko, served with a glass of J. Lohr Arroyo Vista Chardonnay. Candy Cane-Striped Cappelletti will be served as the third dish, loaded with burrata cheese and truffle fondant, matched with a glass of J. Lohr Fog’s Reach Pinot Noir.
The charity dinner will continue with a Short Rib Ravioli, topped with TREVI’s house-made red wine pasta sauce and accompanied by roasted vegetables and radish, served with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon from J. Lohr Carol’s Vineyard. Bistecca al Peppato will follow, made with Rosewood Ranch beef, slow-roasted Rosso Bruno tomatoes and fondant potatoes, paired with J. Lohr Tower Road Petite Sirah.
Diving into dessert, the night will be capped off with Zeppoles, a traditional Italian pastry, filled with lemon, raspberry and Nutella, paired with a glass of sweet Late Harvest Riesling.
