The O.G. Rapper Quik Performs At LAX Nightclub For Throwback Thursday

It was "a day in the life of a player named Quik" on Thursday, Aug. 4 at LAX Nightclub inside Luxor Hotel and Casino. The O.G. rapper, known for his funky production work, took audiences on a tour of the classic hits that made him an early '90s favorite, including "Tonite" and "Born and Raised in Compton."

West Coast rapper DJ Quik released his debut album Quik Is the Name in 1990. The platinum-selling album spawned several radio hits and made him a household name. DJ Quik has steadily recorded new music over the years, while also racking up a list of production credits for artists including Tupac, Shaquille O'Neal, Xzibit, Talib Kweli, Jay-Z, Jadakiss, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, and more.

New Orleans bad boys Juvenile and Mystikal will perform next in the venue's acclaimed Throwback Thursday series on Aug. 18 and Sept. 1, respectively.

Every Thursday at LAX Nightclub, DJs spin favorite hits from the '80s and '90s, with several memorable Throwback performers hosting select nights throughout the year.
