Enjoy Throwback Thursday At LAX & Kick It Old School

August means back to school but at LAX Nightclub inside Luxor Hotel and Casino, it's back to old school. The venue welcomes DJ Quik to the stage on August 4, Juvenile on August 18 and Mystikal on September 1 as part of its acclaimed Throwback Thursday series.

West Coast rapper DJ Quik released his debut album Quik Is the Name in 1990. The platinum-selling album spawned two radio hits: "Tonite" and "Born and Raised in Compton." DJ Quik has steadily recorded new music over the years, while also racking up a list of production credits for artists including Tupac, Shaquille O'Neal, Xzibit, Talib Kweli, Jay-Z, Jadakiss, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, and more.

New Orleans rapper Juvenile was at the forefront of the '90s "bounce" dance craze that emerged from the city. With hits including "Back That Thang Up" and "Ha," Juvenile released his No. 1 hit single "Slow Motion" in 2004. He is expected to debut his upcoming full-length album 800 Degreez later this year.

Rapper Mystikal skyrocketed on the charts in the summer of 1999 with the number one single "Danger (Been So Long)." He has since released hits including "I Smell Smoke," "If It Ain't Live, It Ain't Me" and "Bouncin' Back," which was nominated for a GRAMMY in 2003.

Every Thursday at LAX Nightclub, DJs spin favorite hits from the '80s and '90s, with several memorable Throwback performers hosting select nights throughout the year.

LAX Nightclub is open Thursday - Saturday from 10:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. For more information, visit Luxor.com or follow LAX Nightclub on Facebook - www.facebook.com/LAXNightclub, Twitter - twitter.com/LAX_Nightclub, and Instagram.
