USE Sunscreen! Great Partnership Provides Sunscreen At Wet'n'Wild LV

For the third year, Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN) and Wet'n'Wild Las Vegas are partnering up to encourage guests of the water park to protect their skin with free sunscreen while enjoying Las Vegas’ summer weather.

The flagship element of the partnership includes a colorful sunscreen kiosk upon entrance to Wet'n'Wild, offering complimentary SPF 30 sunscreen to visitors. The free sunscreen is a paraben-free, oxybenzone-free and waterproof blend. The broad-spectrum sunscreen fully protects skin against potentially harmful UV-A and UV-B rays, when applied and reapplied appropriately. The sunscreen kiosk and additional elements comprising the partnership were designed with all ages in mind and to urge park visitors to stay proactive with skin protection.

On Sunday, May 22, CCCN medical oncologist Karen Jacks, MD will take part in Wet‘n’Wild’s summer storytime series, reading the story “George the Sun Safe Superstar” to park guests at 11:30 a.m. The story reading will take place inside the park’s Paradise Falls children’s area. The Children’s Story Time series will continue at 11:30 a.m. each Thursday beginning June 2 through the end of August, and will feature celebrity and local personalities as special readers.

Also this season, youth park-goers can participate in a Skin Safety Coloring Contest throughout the months of June and July. To participate, children 12 and under (with the help from their parents) can download a coloring sheet from www.wetnwildlasvegas.com, complete the coloring sheet, bring it with them on their next visit to Wet'n'Wild, and turn it in at the park’s gift shop. Additionally, hard copies of the coloring sheet will be available on-site at the park.

Winners of the coloring contest will be selected bi-weekly on Mondays with the winning coloring sheet posted on the Wet'n'Wild Facebook page. Winners will receive a family four pack of day tickets to the park during the 2016 season.
