Historic Vegas comes to life during the Oscar Dinner Series with former city of Las Vegas Mayor, Oscar B. Goodman. The next dinner on Thursday, June 2 at 6:30 p.m., at Oscar’s steakhouse at the Plaza Hotel & Casino will feature Goodman speaking about “The Seized Rolls Royce - A Tale of Little Nicky.”
At the Oscar Dinner Series, guests enjoy a gourmet three-course meal paired with red and white wines as well as the signature Oscar Goodman Martini while listening to Goodman discuss his extraordinary experiences as a criminal defense attorney that are hallmarks of Las Vegas’ unique and fascinating history.
At the upcoming dinner, Goodman will recount his representation of reputed Philadelphia mob boss Nicodemo "Little Nicky" Scarfo. About the dinner topic, Goodman said that the tale will be about “Little Nicky and the mob, murder, dancing nude in the Four Seasons fountain and the payoff of a Rolls Royce.”
The menu for the June 2 dinner offers guests the choice of starting with a Caesar salad or tomato carpaccio with extra virgin olive oil, pickled red onions, and an arugula and mint salad. Entrée selections include a porcini dusted pork chop with sweet onions; pan seared sea bass with pea puree and spinach; a 6 oz. filet mignon with sautéed mushrooms, potato puree, and asparagus; or roasted chicken with fingerling potatoes and baby vegetables. Desserts include tiramisu or cheesecake.
