The Spinners: May 6 - 8:00 p.m.
The Spinners formed in 1957 when the five members were high school students in the Detroit suburbs of Ferndale. They were known as the greatest soul group of the early '70s, creating a body of work that defined the lush, seductive sound of Philly soul. The Spinners R&B hits include "I'll Always Love You," "Truly Yours," and Stevie Wonder's "It's a Shame."
Brenda Lee: May 13 - 8:00 p.m.
Get ready for a knee-slapping, toe-tapping good time with one of the most famous country singers in the world! Brenda Lee burst onto the music scene when she was just 9 years old and has been wowing audiences ever since. With her chart-topping hits, including the iconic "I'm Sorry," Lee is as much fun to watch as she is to listen to.
Aaron Neville: May 20 - 8:00 p.m.
New Orleans native Aaron Neville hit the music scene in the 1960s landing his number one R&B hit, "Tell It Like It Is," in 1967. Neville has expanded his musical expertise by collaborating with notable country artists like Trisha Yearwood. Along with Aretha Franklin, Neville sang the National Anthem at Super Bowl XL. Throughout his career, Neville has continued to thrill fans with smash hits like "She Took You For a Ride" and "You Think You're So Smart."
Eric Burdon and The Animals: May 27 - 8:00 p.m.
Coined for their wild stage acts during the British Invasion, The Animals have rocked the music scene since 1962 with such hits as "The House of the Rising Sun," "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place," and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." Led by the gritty, bluesy sound of front man Eric Burdon, The Animals had ten Top Twenty hits in both the UK Singles Chart and the US Billboard Hot 100 and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. They also received the Grammy Hall of Fame Awards in both 1999 and 2011.
Rock of Vegas Free Concert Series - May 28 - 9 p.m. (Fremont Street Experience)
Joan Jett & The Blackhearts kick off the eighth Rock of Vegas free summer concert season. Come down to the 3rd Street stage for a rocking Memorial Day weekend to remember.
The Tank & The Hideout
