Life Time Athletic Green Valley invites Las Vegans to splash into swim season with new live entertainment and poolside food and drink specials, featured exclusively at the Henderson club at 121 Carnegie St.
From 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, the club’s happy hour special offers $6 and $8 appetizers, $6 select cocktails, $1 off tap and bottled beer, and $2 off wine by the glass. Friday nights feature the mellow sounds of a live acoustic guitarist, and Saturdays and Sundays amp up the energy with a live DJ.
New food and beverage selections are available at two dining options: an outside bistro in the pool area, featuring expanded menu options and table seating with a hostess and server; or in poolside lounge chairs, with a menu offering lighter appetizers. The Bistro and Poolside menus at Life Time Athletic Green Valley provide health-conscious options for food aficionados and kids, alike.
The Life Time Green Valley pool is open every Monday through Sunday to Life Time members at no cost and to non-members for $20 per guest. Reservations for poolside cabanas are available by calling 702.802.7300.
POOLSIDE MENU
Featured appetizers on the Poolside menu include: Lettuce Wraps made with organic romaine hearts with hummus, olives, feta, and a tomato-cucumber relish, priced at $11; Mediterranean Pasta Bowl, with gluten-free pasta shells, cage-free chicken breast, grilled vegetables, pesto and parmesan cheese, priced at $15; and Jamaican Jerk Shrimp Skewers, featuring spiced tiger shrimp on a bed of organic kale slaw with a horseradish cocktail sauce, priced at $13. Sunbathers can also snack on tortilla chips with fresh guacamole and pico de gallo for $10; fresh fruit salad, priced at $11; or grilled vegetables for $13.
Salad options include: Detox Kale Salad, featuring broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, grapes and red onion on kale slaw, tossed in a spicy lemon-cayenne dressing and priced at $11; the Strawberry Spinach, with goat cheese, candied walnuts and red onion and a balsamic dressing, priced at $11; or the Humboldt, a spinach and romaine salad with carrot, candied nuts, bacon, blue cheese and avocado, with a mustard-tarragon vinaigrette for $14. All salads are made with organic greens and served with an ancient grains roll with organic butter, and finished with a super seed blend. Chicken, salmon, shrimp, or a turkey, bison or black bean burger may be added to salads for an additional cost.
The kids Poolside menu features a choice of meat or vegetarian Sliders or Hot Dogs for $6.29, served with a fruit cup and choice of organic milk or juice.
BISTRO MENU
The Bistro menu includes all appetizers and salads offered on the Poolside menu, as well as sandwiches including: the Bison Burger, a six-ounce bison burger featuring organic romaine, tomato, blue cheese, pickles, grilled onion and black pepper mayo on a gluten-free seeded bun, priced at $17; and the Smoked Beef Brisket sandwich, with smoked beef brisket, horseradish mayo, Swiss cheese, onion, and mushrooms on naan bread, priced at $18. All burgers and sandwiches are served with grilled vegetables and are available on organic romaine lettuce instead of a bun.
Kids can also enjoy an expanded food menu that includes Baked Chicken Tenders with dipping sauce for $6.20; and Pizza Bites on Tandoori naan bread with tomato sauce and a choice of toppings, priced at $6.99.
COCKTAIL MENU
Signature cocktails from the bar include the Tropical Lemonade, a combination of vodka, pineapple, ginger ale and fresh lemon, priced at $10; Red Sangria, with red wine, brandy, triple sec, citrus and fresh fruit, priced at $12; the Pineapple Margarita, with tequila, triple sec, fresh lime and pineapple for $12; the Blackberry Mojito, made with blackberries, rum, fresh lime, mint and soda, priced at $12; the Mango Mule, with mango, vodka, lime juice and ginger beer, priced at $12; a traditional Bloody Mary for $10; and the Whiskey Smash, priced at $10 and made with strawberry puree, whiskey and lime juice.
