Fans Line Up For Italian Sensation Il Volo!

Friday night, excited fans stood in line for more than an hour prior to doors to get in and see the Italian pop sensations Il Volo. The tour, promoting the group’s latest chart-topping release and fifth studio album Grande Amore, found the trio surrounded by a powerful 16-piece orchestra and four-piece band as they passionately sang songs from their catalogue as well as covers including musical hits “Tonight” from West Side Story and “Memory” from Cats. This was the first performance for Il Volo in Las Vegas and the group surely did not disappoint, belting out songs from Grande Amore such as “Si Me Falta Tu Mirada.”

Il Volo is comprised of members Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble and have released five albums so far, starting in 2011: three studio albums, a live album, and a Christmas album. Recently, Il Volo won the “Big Artist” Award at the prestigious Sanremo Music Festival in Italy, which led them to go 3x Platinum. They have been guests on numerous television programs in the U.S. including “The Tonight Show,” “The Today Show,” “Good Morning America,” “The Talk,” “American Idol,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “The Rachael Ray Show”, and they also appeared on the final episode of HBO’s hit series “Entourage.”
