The Mob Museum & LVMPD Present Community Safety Forum On 2/21

The Active Shooter: LVMPD To Present Community Safety Forum At The Mob Museum

The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, hosts February’s Community Safety Forum on the topic of the Active Shooter. At this forum, attendees will learn what to do if individuals encounter an active shooter. An active shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined or populated area. Attendees will receive guidance on how to react both mentally and physically in such situations, which are often unpredictable and evolve quickly.

Hosted in partnership with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and sponsored by NV Energy, this program is FREE to the public. All attendees also receive complimentary Museum admission following the forum. Community Safety Forums are offered to support the Museum’s ongoing commitment to present timely and useful programming for the benefit of the community.

Officer Dean Hennessy from Metro’s Multi Assault Counter Terrorism Action Capabilities (MACTAC) unit will conduct the forum.
