Landry's Tilman Tertitta Treats Company Execs & Manager To Surprise Performance By Pitbull
Tilman Fertitta, chairman, CEO, and sole shareholder of Landry's, Inc. surprised more than 800 of the company's executives and managers with a private performance by Grammy award winner Pitbull on Wednesday, February 10, during the 11th Annual Landry's, Inc. Leadership Conference at Golden Nugget Las Vegas. The popular musician and entertainer took the stage at 10:30 PM in the casino's Grand Event Center performing for the company's executives, general managers from its over 500 properties and Golden Nugget casinos, as well as regional and corporate support teams.
Fertitta made the surprise announcement that hip-hop artist and entertainer, "Mr. Worldwide," would take the stage and the enthused crowd immediately arose to their feet. Pitbull performed "Fireball," "Don't Stop the Party," Timber," "Fun," and more, to an energized audience. This performance marked one of Pitbull's last stops before he heads to Los Angeles to take the stage at the 2016 Grammy Awards.
Pitbull is a globally successful musician, performer, business entrepreneur, fashion icon and actor, whose career sales exceed five million albums and 40 million singles worldwide. He has had number one hits in more than 15 countries and his videos have been viewed more than three billion times. Pitbull debuted on the music scene with album M.I.A.M.I., which was produced by high-profile producer Lil Jon and Jim Jonsin. He has since released three albums including Rebelution, featuring hit single "I Know You Want Me"- the artist's first internationally popular song that reached number two on Billboard's Hot 100 list.
This is not the first time Fertitta has hosted Pitbull at his properties, most recently at the 20th annual San Luis Salute during Mardi Gras! Galveston on Friday, February 5, and again at Golden Nugget Lake Charles on Saturday, February 6.
Annually, Fertitta gathers his top executives from his over 500 properties to motivate and inspire for a productive new year. In addition to Pitbull's performance, Fertitta also addressed the crowd with an update on a successful 2015 and priorities for 2016. Pulitzer prize recipient and one of America's preeminent investigative reporters, Bob Woodward, spoke to the audience about the upcoming presidential election and his take on past presidents.
