Justin Hawkins Received $38K Scholarship From LVBA

The Las Vegas Business Academy (LVBA), founded in 2011 by Rino Armeni, took the Thomas and Mack basketball court to award scholarship recipient, Justin Hawkins, with $38,000 towards his graduate education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration. UNLV Alumni and LVBA board members Joe Haro, director of sponsorships at Hakkasan Group, and Paola Armeni, partner at Gentile Cristalli Miller Armeni & Savarese, PLLC, joined Hawkins on the court to award him with the check.

“Justin has been awarded this scholarship because he is an incredible student with the drive to make Las Vegas one of the best cities in the world,” said Max Tappeiner, LVBA president. “He continuously looks for new ways to get the LVBA involved in our community by leading our service committee, which shows how much he cares about our city.”

Hawkins graduated from UNLV with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration in May 2015. During his undergraduate career, he was captain of the UNLV Men’s Basketball team. Hawkins is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at UNLV and has experience as a hotel intern for MGM Grand Casino and Hotel, an Upsell Agent at Wyndham Resorts, a MLife representative at Bellagio and a slot guest representative at Bellagio Hotel and Casino.
