|Guests At Grand Gala|
In partnership with MGM Resorts International, local marketing firm BACK BAR USA hosted this year’s grand gala tasting event on Friday, Feb. 12 at Alain Ducasse’s Skyfall Lounge, located on the 64th floor of Delano Las Vegas. Hundreds of guests sipped on more than two dozen specialty cocktails by world-renowned mixologists including Francesco Lafranconi, as well as mixologists from MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment and Downtown Project properties. Other highlights included passed bites by Rivea Executive Chef Bruno Riou and live entertainment, all set to backdrop of stunning views of the Las Vegas Strip. The gala concluded with members of BACK BAR USA offering a $20,000 check to Tony Abou-Ganim’s Helen David Relief Fund, a non-profit organization that assists female bartenders in need of breast cancer screening services.
Additional events during this year’s “For The Love Of Cocktails” celebration included a Downtown Las Vegas bar crawl in association with Downtown Project and food truck and mixology competition presented by the United States Bartenders’ Guild (USBG) on Thursday, Feb. 11 and the “Meet the Masters” series in partnership with Caesars Entertainment on Wednesday, Feb. 10. The “Meet the Masters of Mixology” reception featured cocktails by internationally recognized mixologists including Abou-Ganim and Salvatore Calabrese at Bound by Salvatore, the stylish lobby bar inside The Cromwell, followed by the “Meet the Masters of Wine event, a five-course meal and wine pairing at GIADA.
