Versatile artist Morris Day will join his band, The Time, for a one-night-only performance at Sam’s Town Live! on Saturday, Jan. 23. The Time’s self-titled debut album was released in 1981, including hits like “Get It Up” and “Cool.” A few years later, the band’s star was on the rise as they were cast in Prince’s rock musical feature film “Purple Rain.” The Time produced more hits, in addition to Day’s successful solo ventures. Some of the best-loved hits include “The Oak Tree,” “Fishnet,” “The Bird” and “777-9311.”
