So The Strip On #NYE2016 Not Your Style? Try Pahrump NV!

The Town of Pahrump welcomes locals and visitors to safely launch their fireworks for a booming celebration during the week of New Year. The highly anticipated Fireworks Over Pahrump is located one mile west on Gamebird Rd. right off of Highway 160, and will open on Dec. 30, 31, and Jan. 1 from 8 p.m. to midnight.

The site allows permit holders who are 18 years of age or older to discharge aerial fireworks purchased from permitted firework retailers located in Pahrump. Consumers must sign a waiver and purchase the $5 permit prior to site use.   Permits are available at the following retailers; Area 51, Phantom Fireworks, Red Apple Fireworks, Black Jack Fireworks and Alamo Fireworks, all located in Nye County.

With safety being the number one priority, an on-site crew including firefighters and technicians will help celebrations go smoothly; they’ll enforce safety launch practices as well as drive participants to and from their launch site. Alcohol consumption prior and during firework handling will not be tolerated.

There are sixteen designated launch sites with a first come, first serve regulation as well as a maximum of two persons on each site and cap of 128 shooters per night. Those wanting to observe the glittering show of lights can watch them safely in a nearby parking lot.

“We anticipate a high turnout to the Fireworks Over Pahrump safety site with a mix of firework enthusiasts, visitors and residents,” says Arlette Ledbetter, director of Pahrump Tourism. “The site is both safe and legal for users, and enjoyable for observers. Pahrump is one of the only towns in Nevada to offer this unique experience.”
