2016 Schedule For LVMS Bracket Racing & Hot Rod Events

It’s going to be another busy and exciting season at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2016.

From two National Hot Rod Association events to 12 installments of LVMS bracket racing and O’Reilly Auto Parts Mayhem, the famed LVMS track will be buzzing from start to finish next year. The Strip kicks off its 2016 schedule on Jan. 17 for the Street 2 Track event, and the drag strip will be busy all year until the Dec. 4 Import Face Off closes its competitive calendar.

The NHRA Spring Nationals comes to Las Vegas April 1-3, and The Strip will host a second NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event Oct. 27-30 when the NHRA Toyota Nationals returns to LVMS. The Strip is one of just three tracks – along with Pomona, Calif., and Charlotte – that will host two NHRA events in 2016.

The Strip – the four-time and reigning NHRA Division 7 Track of the Year –also will be home to 10 junior dragsters events, as well as a host of NHRA Division 7 races, throughout the year. In addition, November’s calendar will include the wildly popular Street Car Super Nationals and Thanksgiving Bracket Nationals.

One of the busiest tracks on the LVMS property, The Strip has become renowned as one of the country’s elite drag strips, and it is never lacking for excitement or drama. Two of the NHRA’s four world champions – Erica Enders in Pro Stock and Antron Brown in Top Fuel – were crowned in Las Vegas in 2015.
