The Springs Preserve's Butterfly Habitat Will Open Sept. 5th

The Springs Preserve Botanical Garden welcomes fall with our seasonal Butterfly Habitat opening Saturday, September 5, weather permitting.

Hundreds of butterflies and an array of plants have returned to our seasonal exhibit! Wander through our unique Butterfly Habitat and witness the fascinating dance between free-flying butterflies and the plants that sustain them. You’ll emerge with a better understanding of the environment needed for the survival of these spectacular animals.

 Located in the southern end of the Botanical Garden, the seasonal habitat will be open daily 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. through mid-November, as temperature allows. The habitat features a variety of butterfly species including Mourning Cloak, Red Admiral, Painted Lady, American Lady, Monarch and Queen.

Open to the Public starting - Saturday, September 5, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. daily.

ADMISSION:  The Butterfly Habitat will have a separate entrance fee of $3 for non-members and $2 for members. All guests age two and up require a ticket.

The Springs Preserve is currently observing spring/summer hours and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. General admission for Nevada residents is $9.95 for adults, $8.95 for students, seniors, teachers and military, $4.95 for children ages five to 17, with kids four and under free. General admission also includes access to the Nevada State Museum, open Thursday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission for non-resident adults is $18.95, $17.05 for seniors, students and military, $10.95 for children ages five to 17, with kids four and under free.
