FREE Summer Brunch Cooking Demo W/Pastry Chef Robyn Lucas On 7/16

Pastry Chef Robyn Lucas from db Brasserie will hold a free Summer Brunch cooking demo filled with her original creations of delectable brunch items inspired by her experience as pastry chef at The Venetian’s award winning French-American restaurant. The cooking demo takes place at the west side Williams-Sonoma, bringing the experience and knowledge of this seasoned Las Vegas Strip pastry chef to the locals.

Summer Brunch Menu:

Sweet Crepes (various filling options) – A traditional French item, Chef Lucas will showcase the techniques to making the perfect crepe, along with creating seasonally inspired fillings including lemon ricotta cream filling with seasonal berries; and Nutella filling topped with butterscotch-glazed fresh bananas.

Peach Almond Scones – Another brunch favorite, the scone is a sweet or savory biscuits often containing fruits, nuts or herbs and enjoyed with mid-morning tea and honey. Chef Lucas will showcase a Peach Almond Scone, perfect for the Las Vegas summer.

Bellini Purée – Learn to make a simple watermelon purée for the ultimate cool brunch cocktail that is paired with bubbly champagne.*
*We will be serving samples of a non-alcoholic version of the Bellini for this demonstration.

Robyn Lucas, db Brasserie Pastry Chef
Chef Lucas graduated from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI, specializing in baking and pastry arts, as well as food service management. She started her career at Bradley Ogden and within a month, Lucas was promoted to assistant pastry chef. In Las Vegas, Lucas worked for Caesars Palace’s bake shop and also created original desserts for the opening of Bacchanal Buffet. She then worked as assistant pastry chef at L’Atelier. Today, Lucas runs the pastry program at db Brasserie inside the Venetian as Pastry Chef, where she is able to express her creativity and create her own delicious dessert recipes.
