This double-header of hit-making talent happens on our 1st Street stage.
Spin Doctors are best known for two hits with irresistible melodies, "Two Princes" and "Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong."
The band formed in New York City in the late 1980s, with their first album, Up for Grabs Live, released in 1991. Their first studio album, Pocket Full of Kryptonite, came out shortly after.
Follow-up albums included Turn It Upside Down (1994), You've Got to Believe in Something (1996), Here Comes the Bride (1999), Nice Talking to Me (2005) and If the River Was Whiskey (2013).
Spin Doctors features Chris Barron (vocals), Eric Schenkman (guitar), Aaron Comess (drums) and Mark White (bass guitar).
Also on the bill for our free Rock in Vegas concert on Aug. 1, 2015 is Cherry Poppin’ Daddies.
The distinctive band rose to the forefront of the neo-swing movement with their two million-selling "Zoot Suit Riot."
Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, originally formed in Oregon, mix together swing, rockabilly, jazz, ska and pop to create an unmistakable, crowd-pleasing sound all their own.
Their 1997 "Zoot Suit Riot" sold more than two million copies, and the album that spawned it cracked the Top 40 on the Billboard 200, the first of the era's swing revival to do so.
Cherry Poppin' Daddies includes founding members Steve Perry, also known as "MC Large Drink" (lead vocals), Dan Schmid (bass guitar) and Dana Heitman (trumpet).
With a sound both energetic and novel, Cherry Poppin’ Daddies are set to bring a whole new swing to Fremont Street Experience.
