MMA Fighters party at Tryst at Las Vegas!

Georges St-Pierre & Bruce Buffer

DJ A-Trak

MMA fighters took over the stunning Tryst Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas as the venue treated fight fans to the official UFC 143 After Party hosted by welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre. St-Pierre is coming off a tough knee surgery but that did not stop him from wrangling an entourage of 20 to celebrate a thrilling night of hard-hitting matches. The UFC fighter’s cocktail of choice consisted of vodka with an extra side of ice, to help soothe the knee in hopes for a speedy recovery.

As the night continued, Chuck Liddell, former UFC light heavyweight champion joined the group to celebrate an evening of adrenaline pumping fights.  Liddell arrived with a group of eight but opted to keep the night low key by sticking to Red Bull energy drinks.  Bruce Buffer, the official voice of MMA, decided to kick the party into full swing, joining the other fighters with a large group of 30. As the vodka cocktails continued to flow at his exclusive table, a new champion entered the house. Josh Koscheck, celebrating his split-decision win over Mike Pierce, was a sight to see as he cruised into the venue with 15 guests.

While the UFC fighters kept the crowd hyped up, another table caught the eye of clubgoers. Angela Simmons, daughter of Russell Simmons, and 12 others celebrated a friend’s birthday.  Donned with balloons, the excusive table was fully stocked with Grey Goose and Reisling while the cocktail waitresses made sure the group was known, bringing a specialty cake for the birthday gal.

To help the athletes and stars celebrate the evening, DJ A-Trak was on the decks spinning a collective set of tracks creating the perfect vibe. The resident DJ had his own honor to celebrate on Saturday as he recently graced the breakthrough cover of Billboard Magazine’s dance revolution issue along other notable producers, Skrillex and Diplo.

LL Cool J hosts unforgettable night at Studio 54..closed!

LL Cool J & DJ Z-Trip

LL Cool J

After more than 14 remarkable years on the Las Vegas Strip, Studio 54 at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino closed its doors for good last night with an unforgettable celebration hosted by LL COOL J.

The line to enter the iconic nightclub for one last time spilled out to the casino floor, abuzz with hopeful bettors hoping to win big during Sunday’s Big Game.

LL arrived at the venue looking fly in a black leather jacket, fitted beanie and shades. He was joined on the red carpet by DJ Z-Trip. Before heading inside, LL posed for photographers and stopped to take photos with fans.

LL then made his way upstairs to an exclusive VIP area overlooking the club goers below. DJ Frankie warmed up the crowd with songs like Nelly’s “Hot In Herre” and Mim’s “This Is Why I’m Hot” mixed with old-school jams that paid homage to the original Studio 54 in New York City.

“LL COOL J is in the house!” DJ Frankie said into the mic. Overcome by the atmosphere, LL and DJ Z-Trip made their way to the stage for an impromptu performance. The venue erupted as LL jumped on the mic. “Welcome to the final night of Studio 54,” he said encouraging fans to put their hands in the air.

LL’s dynamic performance incorporated several remixes and all-time favorites like “Going Back to Cali,” “Doin’ It” and “Phenomenon.” LL got up close and personal with the crowd playing on Sunday’s New England Patriots – New York Giants showdown, clearly showing his bias toward the Giants. Throughout this performance, he pulled girls up on stage with him to dance, wished one special fan a happy birthday and congratulated a bride and groom celebrating their recent nuptials at the club, still donning their wedding dress and tuxedo.

LL concluded his performance with one last shout out to Studio 54 as balloons fell from the ceiling.  LL returned to his VIP area where he soaked up the night with close friends. The club’s final party continued into the early morning hours with an eclectic mix of “then and now” club hits while the crowd enjoyed aerialist and dance routines which have become synonymous with the legendary nightclub.

As the longest running nightclub in Sin City, Studio 54 is credited with launching the nightclub trend that still reigns today and has created many magical memories for locals and tourists alike.

Following a successful trial that linked Pai Gow progressive jackpots at gaming tables at Sunset Station and Red Rock Resort, the progressive expanded February 1 to include all 10 Station Casinos and Fiesta properties including Aliante Station, Boulder Station, Fiesta Henderson, Fiesta Rancho, Green Valley Ranch resort, Palace Station, Red Rock Resort, Santa Fe Station, Sunset Station and Texas Station. The additional properties give Station Casinos the largest multi-property linked Pai Gow progressive in Southern Nevada, which results in higher jackpots.

The expansion of the program means jackpots will start higher, grow faster and players will hit more often with more than 30 tables that are linked company-wide. The beginning jackpot after all properties connected was more than $200,000. Less than seven hours after the progressive was linked to Palace Station, which is coincidentally the final property to be connected, a Virginia man hit that progressive jackpot with a 7-card straight-flush that included a joker. With any regular bet, players become eligible for the progressive with a side bet of only $1. The progressive is won with a seven card straight-flush with or without a joker. The jackpot is once again over $200,000 as of the release date.

Players at Station Casinos can also win 10% of the progressive jackpot with a winning hand of five aces. The initial linked Pai Gow progressive involving Sunset Station and Red Rock Resort was a pilot performed in partnership with ShuffleMaster that began in October. As a result of the program’s success and popularity, Station Casinos expanded it to 10 properties allowing the opportunity for greater jackpots at more locations throughout the Valley.

Station Casinos offers a variety of table games 24-hours-a-day, including blackjack, poker, Let it Ride, craps and roulette. The company also operates a variety of property-linked progressives including slots, bingo and in poker rooms. For more information, visit www.stationcasinos.com.

FANTASY'S "Showgirl of the Month"..Amber! Single & Ready to Mingle!

“Single and ready to mingle” is Amber’s motto. The FANTASY dancer is February’s “Showgirl of the Month” and can be found dressed in her themed pink bikini to commemorate the month of love in the 2012 “Ultimate FANTASY” calendar.

This lovable, gorgeous redhead from the sexy adult revue at Luxor Hotel and Casino is not looking for someone to love or be loved by on Valentine’s Day. An ideal way for the Dallas native to spend the holiday is with her closest friends for drinks, preferably at her favorite Las Vegas hangout Savile Row.

The smart and independent Broadway hopeful would like to settle down and one day find true love, but for now she does what she loves, performing nightly on stage for her FANTASY fans.

Celebrating 12 successful years on The Strip, FANTASY has shaped itself into one of Las Vegas’ leading topless shows. Dynamic lead singer Lorena Peril adds an exciting and unforgettable element with her amazing powerhouse vocals as she takes center-stage alongside a talented cast of beautiful dancers. Great for singles and couples alike, the sexy production showcases 15 high-energy numbers set to a variety of today’s top music genres. While the gorgeous dancers lure guests into their wildest fantasies, comic relief Sean E. Cooper keeps audiences on their toes with his spot-on impressions of some of pop culture’s most recognizable personalities.

FANTASY (www.fantasyluxor.com) performs nightly at 10:30 p.m. in the Atrium Showroom at Luxor Hotel and Casino.
